Yes. And yes, you can kill Maus with T-50-2 just falling on it. Or ram it and damage hard at speed of 85-90 km/h, while going downhill

8. Even when physics are cool. please make them realistic. Tanks jumping from clifs cause a wrecked tank. We once were jumping in a small tank (18tons) and guess what. 2 suspensions broke. Means tank is wrecked. And I know of a battle tank that nicely jumped of some higher ground... result was a brocken chassis...

There will be damage to vehicles, crew and modules if you fall down. The damage will be calculated according to the distance icluding complete destruction.

9.if your flipped, can you use your gun or turret or even other players, to flip yourself back over??? that would be awesome.

You will be rarely flipped. Normally, vehicles will stop at angle of 50-70 degrees... Though if this think happens you will have 5-10 seconds to receive help from your teammates.

10.My only worry is the amount and ease of Intentional Flip over TKS that will happen now...... Is there a system in place (and I don't see how) to stop players from intentionally flipping or pushing over a friendly tank for griefing purposes. I can see it now...instead of the usual light tank ramming heavy and then trapping them griefing that player.....now you will get tier 10 griefers in heavy tanks pushing people all over the map.......

There is no system of this kind, though they will be punished as regular TK'ers

11.Ok but does that mean we will need to submit report/tickets for TK damage again now as the auto Tk system will not detect them as having done the damage you receive from flipping over......

I only ask as it will be the new fun thing for griefers to do..........

Yes, you will most probably have to submit reports, though auto-TK detection system updaet for physics is also In-Development.

12.So, what happens if I park something small like a Renaulft UE 57 in the turret roof of an E-100. Will it stay there and nothing happens? or will the E-100 get dmg as long as the tank is there?

13.Question, General Directions once answered a question of mine regarding physics in that independent suspension would come with physics. Not now but at a later date. I am just wondering, is this still going to happen?

Yes, this is planned, probably in 8.2 But it has low priority.

14.I believe that if you were to fall into a lake, you'd have a limited amount to get out before your engine drowns, or its a instakill.

As for staying upside down, i don't think you'll stay upside very long, so not 100% sure about that one :P

I have a question myself. It appears that the blockade on the broken bridge in Westfield is now gone, so I'm assuming we can now go on it?

17.Q: Can I drive a tank down a cliff and not suffer huge damage or instant death on it?

Like if it makes the most sense to get a drop (literally) on someone.

You can be sure of many new 'shortcuts' that opens up on some maps because you can fly off the cliff onto the roof of some building.

Also other than going down cliffs, what about cliffs that are sloped and can be 'launched off' like a ramp with faster vehicles? Not those terrain bumps on the ground but actual cliff sides that you normally can't ride into because it stops your vehicle.

With the new physics system it means you can slope your tank in ways even more imaginable... Usually the tank gets caught in the cliff 'block zone' and can't slope any more, but with the physics system you can go past that and slope at a very very high angle, that even a 50mm armor can deflect a 100mm shot.

A:1)Don't mess driving down and jumping off. You can drive down, but tanks were not invented for flying-)

2)Building will most probably destroy upon your weight (not completely though, we are still reworking this thing). But yes, there are many intresting short cuts'. Specially for Light Vehicles. You can even push medium tank with a Maus or two to the hill on steep sides of the hill to flank the enemy.

3)Westfield... This map is now one of my favourite -)

18.Am I a complete monster for looking forward to seeing a number of people tumbling off cliffs on high maps? And if I shoot them mid fall, do I get credit for the kill?

20.with the physics update will there be physics for the environment? Like if i run into a fence, instead of the poor animation it has now, maybe it will tip over? or if i run into a car i might push it forward or tip it over and a wheel falls off?

it would add even more polish to this game

We will polish this moment gradually within updates coming after 8.0. Though some effects will enter physics first iteration.

21.I have a few questions:

1. if your tank gets hit by a bullet, lets say 12cm will your tank receive "recoil" according to weight?

2. Release date, when it is estimated for 8.0?

3. what happens if your tank falls on another and your tank stays on top of theirs?

4. So i'v heard about that multiple shots to one area of a tank can weaken the armor, if that is not true then when will it be implemented?

1)Nope. In real life it most probably would make a hole and not just move your tank a bit. Other hit recoils are already in the game.

22.Yes, we will need an "Abandon tank" command when we get stuck in ravines (and heavies getting high centered on lights!).

On Abbey there is a 'Death Zone' which works similar to water. You should be speaking about it.

23.Q:I guess I'll be the one dissenting voice and get lots of down votes.

The graphics upgrade is very impressive (stunning really, I do want to see the maps with the new shadows and water) but I am not looking forward to the new physics.

I can't help but think this level of physics is like adding tripping mechanics in an FPS. You never see an FPS where you can die by slipping on the dirt, hitting your head on a rock and getting a concussion. That may be realistic but it's not fun.

WoT has always done a excellent job balancing realism and fun. I really liked how the original game was straightforward and let you focus on the fun parts of driving around massive warmachines blowing things up (or getting blown up in turn). I can only hope that same balance was applied with these new physics.

I just wonder how the game is going to be made more fun watching my tank capsize in a river or tumble down an embankment. Dying from the environment rather than dying from opponents is a major change in the gameplay, and I have to hope these physics do not make that a major element.

Because the alternative methods to kill opponents with jumping and ramming do sound very entertaining, but again that is the result of player actions, not terrain mechanics.

A:You won't damage tank ramming static landscape objects, ilke houses or hills.

24.I agree with this my thought on physics is meh and that it will just add more problems/bugs.

25.I do really like the new lighting and love the new physics but it still looks like your trapped in a dome. I was hoping on some background improvements with this update.

No, unfortunately, not in this update. But this and many other visual features of damaging vehicle are planned, as well as module display (actually, we've announced it in ASAP video).
